The inaugural Malahide Fun Run took place in Malahide Castle on April 28th. There was a
warm atmosphere in the park to compliment the sunshine. The fun run brought experienced
marathon runners and first time runners together in aid of two local charities, The Laura
Brennan Charitable Trust and The Ross Nugent Foundation. In total, there were 35 participants
in the event who all contributed to the total raised for the charities. Through the efforts of
participants and organisers, ?1,010 was raised on the day with each charity receiving ?505
each from the event. The event received coverage from local media and there was a two page
spread in the Malahide Gazette.
