10.05.2011 – Pobail Scoil Íosa – Transition Year Basketball

On Tuesday the 10th of May 2011 the annual basketball tournament in memory of Laura Brennan was held by the transition year students of Malahide Community School.

We started off the day by splitting up into teams. There were nine teams in total. Each team having one basketball player. Each team played matches until the two semi final matches were decided then after that the final. The final was against team one and team seven. In the end team one were the winners winning by a basket. Laura’s Mam Nuala was there to watch the final and present the winning trophy.

The whole day was great fun as most of the teams had non basketball players but everyone still gave it their all which made the day even more enjoyable.
