11-13 September 2015 - Laura Brennan Memorial Tournament 2015...

Hosted by Killester Basketball Club the 6th annual LBMT tournament took place last weekend in St Fintans High School Sutton. Laura was part of a fantastic team that represented Killester with such great pride and integrity. Laura's team mates, Aisling, Sarah, Jenny, Kate, Jade, Iseult, Ciara, Ruth, Alex and Hannah come together every year to make this such a special occasion.

This year saw 8 teams do battle for the superb crystal trophy - Killester, Liffey Celtics, Brunell, Phoenix, Tolka Rovers, Caraig na Bfhearr, Dublin Raiders and DCU Mercy. After some brilliant and exciting basketball the Final saw the much anticipated pairing of Liffey Celtics and DCU Mercy. The Final didn't disappoint and in a thrilling game it was DCU Mercy that finished the stronger winning on a score line of 36-32. In a hugely emotional presentation Laura's sister Anna stepped forward to collect the trophy on behalf of DCU Mercy.
