Dublin Bus Community Spirit Award
Since 2003, Dublin Bus has been awarding grants to voluntary and community groups
across the Greater Dublin Area. To date, over 1,500 groups have received funding
from Dublin Bus which has helped many worthwhile causes in communities across the Greater Dublin Area (GDA).
The programme was initiated to recognise and support the invaluable work undertaken each day by local groups located within the Dublin Bus
network. Ex-international footballer, Niall Quinn has been patron of the initiative since its inception. Under the programme,
Dublin Bus awards grants to these groups in the amounts of €5,000, €2,000 and €1,000.
The grants are funded from long-term unclaimed change receipts.
The awards ceremony was held on Thursday the 25th September in The Mansion House and was hosted by the Patron of the Community Spirit Awards,
Niall Quinn. We are absolutely delighted to let you know that The Laura Brennan Charitable Trust was the proud recipient of one of the
5 top awards of €5,000.
