Laura’s young cousins Ben & Sam were
enjoying their summer holidays in St Helen’s Bay,
Rosslare, Co Wexford when they came up with a wonderful
idea to raise some funds for Laura’s Trust. As everybody
knows Wexford is famously referred to as the Sunny South
East and this gave the boys a great idea. With everybody
enjoying the sunshine what better way to cool down than
to purchase a ‘McDermott Slush Pop’. The boys recruited
the help of some of their friends and set about making
as many slush pops as they could. They set up their
stall and began to sell to the good folk of St Helen’s
Bay. Nobody was safe from these two budding business
men. In no time at all their entire supply of slush pops
was sold and a wonderful sum of €100 was raised. Well
done Ben & Sam – Laura would be so proud of you
both.
