11th Annual Gala Evening - 23rd March 2019.
The 11th annual Laura Brennan Charitable Trust Gala Evening took place on Saturday the 23rd March 2019.
Over 210 people were in attendance and all looking forward to a really special and successful evening.
The venue once again was the wonderful Grand Hotel in Malahide and began with a Champagne Reception.
Guests were greeted and led into the function room by The Celtic Rhythm Drummers who played a lively introductory set to start the evening.
Our MC for this year was the wonderful James Patrice. Nuala & Pat welcomed everyone and especially remembered Laura.
They also spoke about the numerous fundraising events that had taken place during the year and expressed their heartfelt
thanks to all those involved. Nuala introduced a testimonial video of how the work of the charity does make a difference.
Everybody was presented a charity bracelet bearing an inscription from Laura's own Bebo site - "Life's Too Short to be Anything But Happy - LB".
The entertainment was provided by the wonderfully talented Jack2Jack who ensured that the dance floor was full all night long.
To date we have been privileged and honoured to be able to offer assistance to over 150 children and their families
to the tune of just over €500,000. This would not have been possible without the continued support of so many people.
We continue to receive massive local fundraising support from schools, businesses, sporting groups and individuals.
The charity is 100% voluntary with 99% of all funds raised going towards helping those children and their families that need help.
Our sincere thanks to all who attended our Gala Evening and who continue to support the efforts of the Trust
- we really look forward to seeing everyone again next year.
