01.07.2016 - 2016 Golf Classic

The 6th Annual Laura Brennan Charitable Trust Golf Classic took place on Friday 1st July 2016 in the beautiful surroundings of Hollywood Lakes Golf Club.

Fifteen teams took part in this Stableford competition with the best two players counting on every hole. As has been the case for most of Summer 2016 all 4 seasons in the one day is an all too common occurrence. The forecast for the day was 'iffy' at best but thankfully the showers that did fall, although heavy, didn't last too long. Most teams managed to get around pretty dry! Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and the scoring reflected the good conditions. All of the top 3 teams finished with scores of 90 points or better. Congratulation to the winning team of Martin, Paddy, Andy & Vinny - well done guys. The event proved to be a tremendous success in no small thanks to so many people:

We managed to raise the wonderful sum of €2,075 on the day. Can I take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you so much - to those who participated, sponsored a hole or helped in any way. Your generosity is amazing and the money raised will help us to continue offering support to those children and their families in much need of same.
